Allison Burke-Duran

Allison began practicing yoga in 2000 as a way to quiet her mind in a busy and mentally challenging time in her life.  She studied with Kandy Taylor Love first, a student of B.K.S. Iyengar in Florida.

After moving to Taos, Allison studied with Monica and decided to pursue becoming a certified yoga teacher.

Allison received her 200 YTT hour certification with Jacci Gruninger, Executive Director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts in 2015 in Santa Fe.

In the Fall of 2015, Allison and Monica co-founded Mountain Yoga.

As a teacher, Allison invites her students to be present and mindful using techniques of inquiry, breath, and avoiding attachment to expectation or judgement of what is.  She comes from a solid foundation of knowledge of yoga to guide you through postures with ease.

Allison enjoys home canning, naps, and motorcycle adventures with her husband.
